Something ‘Blue’ stands for Purity, Love and Fidelity

“Something old, something new, something borrowed and something BLUE”

Did you know the bride must gather these objects herself or from friends & family? All of these items are her good luck pieces and are often family heirlooms handed down through the generations to be worn on her wedding day. Having these items given to her by her immediate family or closest friends makes her wedding day more special.

“Something old’ is meant to represent continuity, perhaps a family heirloom.

“Something new” is meant to represent optimism for her future.

“Something borrowed” which most brides use this opportunity to honor someone in their life who isn’t part of their wedding party. Perhaps, they borrow their grandmother’s handkerchief or even one from their fiancé’s father.

“Something blue” stands for purity, love & fidelity. Make a statement with gorgeous blue bridal shoes!

Melissa and Philip say “I do” at the beautiful Wilshire Grand, West Orange, NJ.

Pure Platinum Party provided Melissa and Philip Photography and Cinematography services for their December wedding.  We also provided an awesome Engagement session for them at the very famous Bronx Zoo.

Melissa and Philip were married this past December and had an intimate afternoon wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Park Ridge, NJ. The married couple chose to stay at the Church and take formals after their “I do.”  Then they were on their way to celebrate all night at the Beautiful Wilshire Grand, in West Orange, NJ.

Upon their arrival, the couple took additional formals with their bridal party and family until the Cocktail hour started in the early evening.

We wish Melissa and Philip a lifetime of love and happiness.
